We’ve got some useful dates for the diary this February, featuring the big ones like Valentine’s Day, not forgetting the real main event… Pancake day!

It’s fair to say there are a mix of occasions this month, with everything from world Nutella & pizza day, through to love your pet day.

The first weekend in February hosts World Cancer Awareness Day on Saturday the 4^th of February, and World Nutella Day on Sunday the 5^th.

The next week, whichever way you like your pizza. Meat feast or veggie. Stuffed crust or thin crust. Round or square. It’s National Pizza Day on Thursday the 9^th of February.

If you’ve got a significant other in your life, this is the week to remember. Tuesday the 14^th of February sees this years’ Valentine’s Day. But if you haven’t got a partner, don’t worry. Monday the 13^th is this years “Galentine’s” Day, a day to celebrate with your best friend. Not forgetting Thursday the 17^th of February, which is Random Act of Kindness Day, a great opportunity to do something special for someone you know, or a stranger, irrespective if they are looking to return the favour.

The special someone in your life might not be human, if so, Love Your Pet Day is the 20^th of February. The ideal occasion to treat your favourite friend, whether it’s your family cat, loyal dog, or something quirkier. This is the day to buy them their ideal snack or treat.

Are you sweet or savoury? Shrove Tuesday is just one day after National Pet Day, better known as pancake day. If you’re more Nutella or syrup than bacon & cheese, this is the day to test your pancake flipping skills. Of course, Ash Wednesday follows the day after.

This month is definitely a one for those in relationships, with pets or those that just want to share a nice gesture.
